From Our President Jaime Garcia: “Vision meets craftsmanship”
In March 2019 in Lovettsville Virginia I was tasked with a project that not only tested my skills as home builder but reshaped the very essence of my commitment to craftsmanship and emotional preservation. Tasked with the restoration of a historical home dating back to the 1800s, ravaged by fire, I encountered a unique challenge that demanded unwavering effort, meticulous care, and ingenious solutions.
The heart of the matter lay in salvaging the only remnant of the bygone era—a Chimney from the pre-civil war era. Recognizing the home's profound historical and sentimental value, the family entrusted us to weave a new narrative around the still standing fireplace and chimney.
My endeavor began with fortifying the structure's foundations, followed by a precarious excavation process. Every detail, from the new floors to the elevations and primary and secondary roof lines, was orchestrated with precision to ensure the historical centerpiece remained standing. Months of dedicated effort culminated in the successful completion of the project, meticulously crafted to the vision of the family and the architect.
This wasn't just a construction project; it was a journey of resurrecting an emotional connection to the past. The structure, full of significance for the client, was not just restored—it was reborn. Witnessing the joy and gratitude on the client's face, particularly for the preservation of their cherished chimney, remains etched in our memory as the pinnacle of our satisfaction.
